TV-documentary about the experiences of the French writer Jean Genet in Barcelona, where he lived from 1933 to 1934, when he was 23 years old.  Starting from the homonymous book by Juan Goytisolo and Genet’s own texts, the film visits the places that the writer frequented, mainly the old Chinatown (today “El Raval”) and the cabarets and places where homosexuals and transvestites met. His experiences, in the most marginal Barcelona of that time, would influence great part of his works (Querelle of Brest , The Thief’s Journal, Our Lady of the Flowers).
